Party Time!

Ruby's 3rd birthday party was a blast!  She had fun decorating (or playing with the balloons) with me.  I had fun decorating the windows with crepe paper, an idea I stole from my friend Lisa!  Thanks Lisa and Melanie!  (By the way... I've seen your Dinosaur Train birthday decor on Pinterest!  Nice!)

When Uncle Tommy and Auntie Arwen pulled into the drive way Ruby started jumping and saying, "My cousins are here!  My cousins are here!"  Then all the other guests arrived and we had tons of fun.  Dinner, pinata, presents, birthday video, cake... and a lot of playing inbetween!

This was our first pinata, and I loved it!  Pull a string, no bats - swinging - head wounds...  Easy!  Ha!  When you pull the right string the bottom comes off and the treats pour out!  Ruby's bigger cousins did an awesome job of letting the little ones find treats and toys first!  Tommy was so cute too...  He found a hot wheels fire truck and was happy with just that one toy, he didn't need any more!

Presents!  Ruby received some really cool things!  Hamper with a ton of dress up items, including this fancy crown, butterfly wings, and the crocodile hat!  (just to name a few)  She received Dora bed sheets, Dora microphone, bathrobe, a sing and read Leap Frog Karaoke game, jewelry box, Jake and the Neverland Pirates sword and spyglass, new special charm bracelet charm, matching game, special occasion Ruby plate, Mickey Mouse fish (pictures to come later!), Wonderwoman invisible plane and little people Wonderwoman figure...  I'm sure I'm forgetting a few!  Prior to today she had received some other gifts, including a fish tank from Mommy and Daddy!

Then came the cake!  Happy Birthday lovely girl!  I went with a fish themed cupcake cake, although the pictures I ordered from looked a little more like Nemo that this one did... but that's ok!  The kids loved it!  Ruby and Tommy had crazy fun smearing bits of icing on each other!  These two cousins are buddies!

And at the end of the day, Ruby's sugar high carried her for quite a while.  Somehow I got her to pose for a few more cute pictures...
