Pumpkin Time

Fall is here and it's time to pick pumpkins!  This is from an apple picking farm that we hope to return for more fall activities.  As for Saturday, it was all about the pumpkins and apple donuts!

 

Dinner and Chores

So...  One fond memory of my childhood is eating at Barnaby's, (I guess there used to be one closer to home but it is since closed) we took Ruby to the Schaumburg location last night!  I loved going there with my husband and daughter!  Wait, is it weird that I still find it funny to say I have a daughter!?!?

Then...  Ruby took it upon herself to help her Mommy cleaning her room.  We have this fabulous bookshelf that Kevin made before she was born.  I had all the smaller board books on the top and decided I needed to rearrange because she kept on pulling the nicer "big girl" books off the bottom shelf.  Such a good girl!  She is an adventurous one!  This is her helping...

Drake has been such a good boy with Ruby!  She is not afraid to climb and pull on him, and most of the time he just looks up at me with his droopy eyes saying, "I'm a good boy, I'm a good boy..."!

It Ain't Gonna Rain no More no More...

Poor Ruby has camped on three separate occasions now and twice it has rained!  We spent this weekend at Illini State Park campground.  I was told today that it was one of the many state parks that was closed by the "Gov" but was secretly reopened.  Thankfully!  It was a nice park, EXTREMELY nice bathrooms for a state park!  Flushing toilets, soap, hand dryers...  We felt spoiled!  

As for camping...  Ruby was nice enough to wake us up for a beautiful sunrise!  And yes, I meant US, Kevin even was up with Ruby and me!

We got rained on Saturday day, and allllll night long!  But we still had fun.  Ruby got a lot of Daddy time...
