A Hiking We Will Go...

We've been hiking at some of our local state parks lately.  The weather has been wonderful and it's hard to say no to being outside!  The closest state park we have is Silver Springs in Yorkville.  It has some nice trails through the woods and a small lake.  Ruby is crazy for throwing rocks into the water. 

Here we are at Matthiessen State Park in Utica.  We all loved this park!  I felt like we were on vacation.  There were amazing rock formations and canyons here.  I knew we were in for a good trip when I saw signs saying, "No camping, rappelling, or rock or ice climbing are allowed"!  Oh okay, I won't rappel.  Ha!  Ruby was in heaven exploring the little streams and caves in the lower dell area.  I most certainly want to visit this park again during a wet season to see waterfalls.

Drake

Missing Drake greatly right now!  Drake had a terrible infection the last few months that he just couldn't beat.  Thinking about some of his silly times and all the nicknames we had for him!  Drake-o butt, Drake-o Malfoy, D, Dude... just to name a few!  Once he got out of his puppy 'bouncy' stage he was truly a gentle giant and was always perfect around the girls.  Ruby said recently, "Drake found JJ and they are playing..."

JCPenney suckered me into a special fairy photo shoot for the girls...  It was impossible to get a shot of the two of them together - but overall they are pretty cute.  Ruby had fun, and that's all that matters, right!?  Next up:  Fiona's 3 month photos.

We are quite simply in love with these girls! 

Ruby loves almost everything about her baby sister.  She loves helping change diapers, reading to her, bouncing her in the chair, helping the swing sway her, holding her, and singing to her!  ...just to name a few things...

Beautiful Girls

Ruby is still an awesome big sister, I hope she doesn't get tired of it!  Fiona is four weeks old today.  Four weeks!  I really need a pause button on a remote control for life.  Is there such a thing?
