Better Late than Never

Okay, there's a lot to cover here!

Camping - Mississippi Palisades State Park, Savanna Illinois.

 Naturally it rained on us...  because that's what it does...  every time we camp!  But that's okay, the kids still had fun!

 We have this little zip line mirror for the frame pack backpack child carrier we have, and I just thought this was a cool picture!

Backpack

So this is Ruby, wearing her backpack, while watching Bubble Guppies, with her blankie on.  Watching Bubble Guppies is very serious stuff in this household, but really - the backpack?  She just gave me the evil eye when I asked if she wanted me to take it!  What may be more funny is that it's empty!

Tree

 Bye bye tree - no thanks to what we are assuming is the Emerald Ash Borer.

Ruby watched the whole thing from the kitchen window, and for that evening and the next day she'd look out the window and say, "Guy. Gone. Up."  I'm sure you can translate this but just in case...  The guy that was way high up in the tree is no longer there!

 September 19th was International Talk Like a Pirate Day.  Kevin wanted her to be prepared!

Busy Weekend

We started our weekend off with an outstanding day at the beach in Michigan City, Indiana!

Sunday - Ruby heard the ice cream truck down the street, all she had to say was 'ding ding' twice and we were out the door to get her her first ice cream truck treat!  She loved it too!

Nope, this is not our new kitten... 

It's our turtle, of course!  Or as Ruby would say, 'tuhtle'.

A happy girl, almost anywhere!

Drake Sitters
